That was a nice Christmas, despite the fact that I lost a filling on Christmas and we can't find a dentist available until after the New Year. The church did a bonus Hallelujah Chorus after the Christmas Eve service ended, and the weather was perfect. I got to see my first live possum on my parents' porch.
My mom put stuffed birds that chirp appropriate calls on top of all the stockings.(Mine's a purple finch.) The living room sounded like an aviary. My niece and oldest nephew are learning to read, and had a great time handing out presents. We all got spoiled rotten. ;) My great-aunt, who stayed in the assisted living facility for Thanksgiving, came and stayed for Christmas dinner. Those who can play musical instruments did.
Today was eggnog and Christmas cookies for breakfast and a visit with our friend Katie. A great time all around.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Aw, yours sounds like a lovely day :) Ours went well, too, despite the fact that I forgot my grandfather's gifts! We took them over the next day, so not all was lost, but still...doh! :)

Sorry about the filling!

Whoops! Well, he got to spread out his fun for an extra day. ;)

My husband found a dentist who can see me at 2:45. I just hope there's enough tooth left to fill! (Not kidding.)

Good find on the dentist!

I had a quiet Christmas, but the first time it was all "done" in my house. Side effect of 12/17 crashies. So I got to make Christmas Eve dinner (curried chicken) host Christmas, including Christmas dinner...
all great fun... I guess I reckon. Now my house is all mine again.

And maybe my car will be, soon, too.

There was NOT enough tooth left to fill. It needed a root canal, right then. I've gotta say, though, this guy was good!

Yikes, about the root canal. I had one, too, and it wasn't so bad. My dentist says that when there is infection going on is when it hurts, otherwise, not so much.

I'm so glad it was taken care of so quickly! It's hard to wait for something like that.

So far I've been lucky and neither root canal was bad. (although that's because the teeth were dead.) I still have to get the second part done.
