My friend David Finkle draws a comic strip called Mr. Fitz. It's from the POV of a middle-school teacher, and it's loaded with writing and SF references. (There are LOTR jokes, Star Wars storylines, booklover's puns, the Martian Chronicles...) He's trying to get it syndicated, and he's hoping to get positive feedback from people in all 50 states.
