Stopping to smell the roses...

...and the lilacs, and the lilies...

I'm notoriously hard on myself about taking time off work just for fun, but tomorrow I'm taking the day off to go here: http://www.gardenandflowershow.com/showhighlights.html

I'm going with my mom and at least one of my sisters, which is particularly fun because they have green thumbs and my mom's a floral designer.
(I, by contrast, have killed an air fern.)

(My sister said that if I tried to guilt-trip myself into not taking the time off she'd call my boss and tell him I was urgently needed at home. My boss, who knows my level of neurosis, said "Good for her!" ;))

It's supposed to be cold and sloppy here tomorrow, which will make the show that much more of a wonderland by contrast.
