All that worry for nothin'!
Today I went to see my gastroenterologist, fully expecting to have to get all kinds of tests to get on the liver transplant list and figure out what to do about the hiatal hernia. I figured that would involve all kinds of unpleasantness too.
He didn’t even think I needed the usual blood tests.
For the hernia, I’m just supposed to readjust when I take my meds. For the liver, he prescribed beta-blockers. He said yeah, I’ll need a liver transplant eventually, but he’s guessing not for 5-10 years-maybe even longer. (And he says he has patients doing well 15 years post-transplant.)
I told him he just gypped me out of 2 weeks off of work. ;)
I DO have to get dental surgery Friday. Oh well.

(I actually had a nightmare where I DID go to WFC, but I was in liver failure + jaundiced, etc. Been there, don't wanna do it again any time soon.)
Whew!
