Thanks, everybody! Technically, I'm in great shape for the shape I'm in. ;) The hernia's quieted down, and although my liver's scarred, it's working.
My doctor's way of summing it up: "I won't do that surgery until you have a liver transplant, and I plan to be out of your life long before you get to that point."
Of course, he's 74...
I see him Tuesday. We'll see what he says. Nothing seems very urgent at the moment, though.
