A Novel Occurrence
Oct. 25th, 2006 09:18 pmI just realized something. It took me 14 years to write Between Worlds. "The Giant Novel" took 3. I never thought I could finish a novel within anything close to a year.
I wrote the demon "pre-story" around January, and the first "real demon short" around Feb. I wasn't keeping track; I certainly wasn't intending to write anything like a novel.
"The Demonspawn Chronicles" just passed 50,000 words. It's nearing the finish, but it probably has at least 10,000 words to go. And it hasn't been a year yet.
I can do this! (At least when I'm not trying, it seems. ;))
