Puzzlement

Months ago, I came up with a scene for a demon story. I wrote it out, and liked how it worked, and started a story based on it.

Now I'm halfway through the story, and the scene no longer fits. More baffling, the story no longer ends where the original "first" story begins. Something has to change.

Ack-it's morphing on me! What have I created?
