For one brief, shining moment...
Nov. 21st, 2006 08:58 pmI recently got a copy of my niece's Christmas list. I read the first item and grinned like the Cheshire Cat.
Armour.
Spelled British style, even. My Fantasy author’s soul rejoiced. My niece, only 4, wants to be a knight in shining armor! (Excuse me, armour.)
Elated, I began a mental listing of SCA-type friends. I thought of passing on my own toy sword, with all due ceremony. And I e-mailed my sister with the all-important question: Plate or Chain?
Darn spell-check! She e-mailed me back, somewhat puzzled. It was supposed to say Armoire.
:Sigh: Well, at least it’s a Wardrobe…
